What does it mean?

'聪因素' doesn't make any sense, I'm afraid.

'Sharp factor' may be '敏锐的因素'. But not for sure.

Simple characters are horizontaly wirtten, while the tranditional are vertical.

I wonder if it were to be done in English would you also want the word "factor" or if just "sharp" would be fine?

Perhaps you could consider 聰慧.

Chinese could be written vertically, or from left to write. In the past, it was also written from right to left under certain circumstances.

does vertical/horizontal apply to tattoos? or just in 'book' writing? traditional characters

appear horizontally right to left on signs, just as simplified can be written vertically.

I am trying to write in chinese something like "sharp factor" -> something like inteligency/wise factor/element

Hmm? Do you mean “智慧的元素” or “智慧元素”?

Thanks!
