Kristyx Posted June 15, 2007 at 05:22 PM Report Posted June 15, 2007 at 05:22 PM I went to my local embassy today to get a 12 month X visa, but was told when I handed in my application form along with the documentation from the university that they couldn't give me a 12 month visa, that I'd have to change it once I got to China. When I went back later to collect my visa it looked strange. My tourist visa from a couple of years ago said under duration of stay '030' days. This new visa that I've been given states that it's an X visa, but where it says duration of stay it says '000'. I asked what this meant and was told it was ok, I just had to change it for a new visa once I arrive in China. Has anyone else had this? How many days does an X visa usually say? Quote
imron Posted June 16, 2007 at 01:09 AM Report Posted June 16, 2007 at 01:09 AM Don't worry, this is completely normal. The visa is for 0 days because it is what lets you enter the country. Once you have entered, you have 30 days to change this into a residence permit, the residence permit will then be valid for the duration of your stay. Your school will help you do this. Quote
