eric Posted April 8, 2004 at 09:28 PM Report Posted April 8, 2004 at 09:28 PM This is for people who browse lots of Chinese sites: Do you find that newer Chinese sites (Taiwan, China, HK, etc) are using Unicode more rather than gb(k) or Big5? I don't look at many sites, but all of the major sites i look at are not using Unicode yet. Why would that be? or are most people actually starting to adopt the Unicode character set? Quote
林彪 Posted April 8, 2004 at 11:52 PM Report Posted April 8, 2004 at 11:52 PM I like Unicode bettter, actually. I think the appearance is much cleaner, and the codes are easier to handle. Plus, you can change the font size through internet explorer. Quote
ax Posted April 9, 2004 at 02:17 AM Report Posted April 9, 2004 at 02:17 AM unicode is like all embracing...you can have a line of many languages and script and still display it properly without having to switch encoding just to be able to view a specific language... Long live unicode ax Quote

pazu Posted April 15, 2004 at 07:21 AM Report Posted April 15, 2004 at 07:21 AM I just think it's a trouble to switch my website (and thus upload them again!) to unicode. My website is in BIG5 encoding. Quote
