Pengyou Posted June 23, 2007 at 06:42 AM Report Posted June 23, 2007 at 06:42 AM I have 5 friends coming to Beijing from 6/30 to 7/4. They want to do some sightseeing but do not want to take the common tour and be dragged around from one factory store to another. Can someone give me an idea of what the going rate for a tour guide is for 4 days? or to rent a van for 4 days? Quote
gougou Posted June 23, 2007 at 06:47 AM Report Posted June 23, 2007 at 06:47 AM Renting a van with English-speaking driver (who in general should be able to tell you a bit about the sights) should set you back around RMB 800 a day (might be less depending on the distance). I'm not sure how apt they are at planning your trips for you, it might help if you make a list of all the sights you want to see. For some contacts, check the classifieds at that's beijing. Quote
dwjtto Posted June 23, 2007 at 09:54 AM Report Posted June 23, 2007 at 09:54 AM 800rmb?? It's too exepensive. Quote
imron Posted June 23, 2007 at 10:38 AM Report Posted June 23, 2007 at 10:38 AM Perhaps you could tell us then what you think is a fair price? Quote
[欧阳江] Posted June 23, 2007 at 12:24 PM Report Posted June 23, 2007 at 12:24 PM If you don't fancy the factory detour a reasonable price for an experienced English speaking guide should be around RMB 500 a day. Quote
