Freegate was working for me okay but now I keep getting a "no server is available" error. Anyone know why?

Which version are you using? The latest few versions work perfectly.

Newest version. Having the same problem again. It hasn't been able to find a server in weeks and weeks.

As far as I know I have the newest version, as I downloaded it back in late August, a few days after the version before it was blocked.

7.06 came out in early October. The Internet has been more active lately, and there are reports on FG's forum that some people are having trouble even with 7.06.

What paid VPN would you recommend to use with streaming websites? I'm on a 2MB line and want to use websites like Hulu, watching sports online, playing online games etc...

I can't comment on VPN companies, but watching Hulu with a VPN is pretty difficult. Hulu has some way of knowing which ip addresses are from VPNs or proxy servers and blocks access to them. But most other sites are fine.

If you do find one that can access Hulu, let me know!! I miss Hulu.

StrongVPN.com can access Hulu just fine. Many Witopia.com servers are blocked by Hulu and Witopia blocks what sites the user can access, such as torrent sites.

I've still had absolutely no trouble accessing torrent sites with Witopia. Some servers are blocked by Hulu, some aren't - try a few.

I uploaded the latest version FG (7.06) on rapidshare. You need to wait for the countdown to finish to download. Rapidshare recently changed their interface, and the new one seems a little buggy. I am able to get the free download working on Firefox but not IE, for some reason.

Any recent problems with anyone's VPN? I'm looking for a good free one or possibly pay if it will save some headaches. I tried downloading Hotspot and Freegate in China, but must have used the wrong website because I got hit with a lot of spyware.
