gougou Posted June 26, 2007 at 11:08 AM Report Posted June 26, 2007 at 11:08 AM Sounds like a great idea! Why don't you make the first episode available on here, so that people can decide whether it's worth giving out their precious e-mail addresses Quote
roddy Posted June 26, 2007 at 11:24 AM Report Posted June 26, 2007 at 11:24 AM Ok, lets have a lesson helping elementary level students ask a real estate agency simple questions about what apartments they have available at what prices. Quote
Pravit Posted June 26, 2007 at 01:46 PM Report Posted June 26, 2007 at 01:46 PM The one thing I hate most about recorded Chinese lessons is that the speakers speak way too standard. I've never heard anyone in China speak nearly as standard or slowly as the people in the tapes. By all means get somebody who speaks very quick and non-standard Mandarin (you could make seperate editions for different regions!) and then have a detailed transcript of what he/she is saying. I would lay down $$$ for material like this. Quote
haiying07 Posted June 27, 2007 at 01:11 AM Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 01:11 AM i don't how to put a MP3 here Quote
gougou Posted June 27, 2007 at 01:19 AM Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 01:19 AM If you click the icon when composing a message, it should allow you to attach an MP3 file. Let me know should you have any problems with that! Quote

haiying07 Posted June 27, 2007 at 04:20 AM Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 04:20 AM ok , here is a sample. a short one .(i cut it short to put here) 网络流行词 wang luo liu xing ci(1).mp3 Quote
Luobot Posted June 27, 2007 at 04:43 AM Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 04:43 AM No need to cut it short. It sounds promising, especially if you do a transcript to go with it. You might want to check microphone placement and do a little audio editing as a last step to normalize the volume fluctuations a bit. Pretty good. Quote
haiying07 Posted June 27, 2007 at 06:00 AM Author Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 06:00 AM thank you very much . i will try my best to do it better. hehe. Quote
muyongshi Posted June 27, 2007 at 11:44 AM Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 11:44 AM You might want to check microphone placement and do a little audio editing as a last step to normalize the volume fluctuations a bit. Also if you can get some windscreens to help with the "popping" in the harder s and f sounds. And then the little audio editing is compressing that NEEDS to be done. This will take out all the little variances in their voice volumes due to movement or head turning etc. but please find someone that really knows how to do this function as it works well if done right but if not it will mess the whole thing up. Other than that great start! Look out Chinesepod. Quote
muyongshi Posted June 27, 2007 at 01:05 PM Report Posted June 27, 2007 at 01:05 PM thank you very much . i will try my best to do it better. You are doing great and i don't know if this is your first time doing this or not but if it is or if you haven't done it as a profession...then you are doing really good! Quote
Stefani Posted July 4, 2007 at 03:55 PM Report Posted July 4, 2007 at 03:55 PM How about a conversation in a restaurant? I still don't know enough to enter a restaurant and converse in a limited way with the waiters :-) Quote
zozzen Posted July 7, 2007 at 08:44 AM Report Posted July 7, 2007 at 08:44 AM great job! the transcript and tempo of the clip looks really professional. But do non-native speaker understand what the clip said? Is it too fast? Quote
