Czech Cara Posted June 28, 2007 at 05:39 AM Report Posted June 28, 2007 at 05:39 AM Hi, I switched from the good old ICQ to http://qip.ru a software that is not so memory consuming, but cannot find the Chinese simplified fonts to support. I do not want a Chinese version [if there is any] but just be able to view characters and input through IME. Any suggestions? Thanks, folks. Quote
trien27 Posted July 4, 2007 at 03:26 AM Report Posted July 4, 2007 at 03:26 AM In Linux distributions, there would be one similar to QIP called gaim. That's lowercased G-A-I-M. You could use a lot of protocols on it: MSN, AOL, Yahoo, Jabber, etc... I'm not sure about the language part: I could IM someone in Chinese and they could do the same at least when I was using the MSN protocol in gaim. Quote
imron Posted July 4, 2007 at 05:01 AM Report Posted July 4, 2007 at 05:01 AM Gaim has recently changed its name to Pidgin. Quote
