Southernjohn Posted June 30, 2007 at 10:18 PM Report Posted June 30, 2007 at 10:18 PM I am looking for a better pinyin input for treo 650. I have been writing Chinese for some time on my treo 650 (cjkos installed) using the handwriting recognition. This has been fine, and has improved my character writing. However, there are times writing with the stylus is impractical or nearly impossible. For example when I am standing on a bus and have one hand free, or just riding in a taxi that is swaying and bumping too much. The only input installed on my phone is the keyboard option from the menu, which brings up a little keyboard, and pinyin syllables can typed out individually. However, there is no double pinyin, and there is no smart anticipation of characters. Recently I used a Chinese friend's treo, and he had an improved pinyin input. It had double pinyin, and even seemed to have smart anticipation of characters. I have searched through the preferences in cjkos, and also the Penp, but can't seem to find it on my phone. Is there something I can download? Perhaps even with other input methods as well? Such as wubi, etc? Thanks for the help, southerjohn Quote
gato Posted July 1, 2007 at 12:45 AM Report Posted July 1, 2007 at 12:45 AM How come you didn't ask your friend what he had installed? There are several choices available. See this previous thread on the issue: http://www.chinese-forums.com/showthread.php?p=107861 Quote
