i've met men with this character in their name. but then i've also met women with this name. sometimes like 君君. how come? doesnt this character mean "gentleman", "lord", "king", "prince", "chief", "monarch", "ruler", "sovereign"and the like? it all sounds like male names. why do some women have this name?

I think it may means "君子兰"(clivia,compared to nobel charater) when it's used as name.
