skylee Posted July 15, 2007 at 11:07 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2007 at 11:07 PM Consider 巴利 (ba li). Or if you like you could consider using 峇里 (also pronounced "ba li", but written in a different way), the name of Bali Island in Indonesia, or even 巴黎 (ba li - Paris). haha. Other transliterations for Barrie include 貝瑞 (bei rui) and 巴瑞 (ba rui) etc.

Raye Zhang Posted July 16, 2007 at 08:36 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 at 08:36 AM for girl , i prefer 芭比 for boy, try 博礼 they are better for names:)
madizi Posted July 16, 2007 at 09:30 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 at 09:30 AM Ba li really sounds like Paris or Bali island, even though characters are not the same. And 博礼 (Bo li) sounds like word for 'glass'. But my Kingsoft Powerword says that Barrie is 巴里. Maybe 'Bai li' is better, but don't know which characters to use...... dotherighthing Posted July 16, 2007 at 11:25 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2007 at 11:25 AM Barrie you may think about 白瑞 or you can just pick up a very beautiful Chinese name which doesn't have to be very similar pronunciation as your Barrie just idea.
