Orphanages in/near Beijing

Hi guys,

A friend of mine has been sending teddy bears to kids in orphanages in developing countries. China is her latest target. The only restriction is that it needs to be near Beijing. (logistical reasons).

Does anyone know where I can begin to look for one?

I did a google search and found a very slick looking website for halfthesky.org as well.

Next question is how to choose which organisation to send the teddy bears to. Thankfully its not me making that decision.

It's never as simple as locating a spot to send teddies to and just sending them. I imagine there's a lot of red tape. Political sensitivities etc. Anyone had any insightful experiences donating anything to an organisation in China?
