woliveri Posted July 19, 2007 at 10:21 AM Report Posted July 19, 2007 at 10:21 AM Does anyone know if there's a Kingsoft Version for the Palm or a PDA? I'm using the Palm Tungsten and find there are more entries availible than PlecoDict. For instance, I want to search for a 2 word combo in PlecoDict but cannot. However, it easily comes up in Kingsoft on the PC.. Is there a PDA version of Kingsoft, anyone know? thanks, Quote
roddy Posted July 19, 2007 at 11:39 AM Report Posted July 19, 2007 at 11:39 AM See here - basically yes, but it ain't all that. Also the download link no longer functions. That was a while back and it was out of date then, so maybe there's something new now? Edit: Appears not. All a search for 金山词霸 palm found was the 2002 V2.0. There's a download link here, but be warned, you will be exposed to pictures of PLMMs and get a cheeky 'click the ad to get the download' pop-up, although I didn't and it just started downloading. Not going to bother installing it, good luck! There's also a PPC version, but it doesn't look to be any more up to date. Quote
woliveri Posted July 19, 2007 at 12:21 PM Author Report Posted July 19, 2007 at 12:21 PM hmmm. Ok, Thanks Roddy. Perhaps the new version of Plecodict when it comes out will have multi-word searches... Such as: "give up" Quote
roddy Posted July 19, 2007 at 12:28 PM Report Posted July 19, 2007 at 12:28 PM It does - try 'further education'. However, the E>C dictionary is much smaller than the C>E one. Plecodict 2.0 should solve that, as there's a new E>C dictionary with a million entries* and full-text search. *not really. But lots. Quote
