drahnier Posted August 10, 2007 at 06:39 AM Report Posted August 10, 2007 at 06:39 AM I noticed that beta 3 "full' version is up on sourceforge.net. Can we expect te see a non-"full" (i .e. jave-less) version soon? I have a lot of problems with b2 and would really like to try b3 (I could make good use of the ability to add special characters to the database, such as "..." and I hope the the handedict plugin will be working again which it did not on b2 for me), but don't want to have another java version on my machine. bogleg Posted August 10, 2007 at 03:10 PM Report Posted August 10, 2007 at 03:10 PM Hi Drahnier, So yes, you've noticed I've put up the b3 build. I was actually having it privately tested by certain people to make sure it didn't explode or anything, before making a more public announcement. Regarding your first issue, the only concern I would say about downloading the full version, is the extra space it requires for the JRE. The JRE that's included is used only by the ZDT and will not affect the rest of your system. That said, I will have all the different builds up in a bit with the public announcement. I'm not sure that this build will fix all the issues you were having with the previous build. I wasn't able to reproduce a lot of them. However, if you are willing to work closely with me (over email), I definitely want to try and solve these issues before the final 0.7.0 release. Thanks Chris Quote
