zozzen Posted August 11, 2007 at 01:40 PM Report Share Posted August 11, 2007 at 01:40 PM I'm using a portable firefox stored at my USB drive while I'm traveling. Every addon works fine, except it doesn't support njstar Chinese display program. If a computer in an internet cafe hasn't be packed with Global IME, all Chinese characters in my firefox become monster. I've tried to install both IME for Office XP and some older versions, but most operating systems at internet cafe don't allow me to do it, showing a message like "the IME can't be installed .blah blah blah." Does anyone work out a solution on this? Thanks in advance.
imron Posted August 12, 2007 at 05:40 AM Report Share Posted August 12, 2007 at 05:40 AM If you just want an IME, you can use something like www.inputking.com. However that still requires that computer has been set up to at least display Chinese characters.
zozzen Posted August 13, 2007 at 01:00 PM Author Report Share Posted August 13, 2007 at 01:00 PM Thanks Ron. inputking.com seems to be inaccessible but i'll try later. If my computer doesn't support Chinese encoding, what can i do to show up chinese characters? ( IE with NJstar works fine for my situation, but i still hope to have a chance to use Firefox....)
