I think you will get more professional teachers and a better enviroment of Chinese learning here. With rich experience, teachers here will give you some helpful ways to study Chinese. You can also find some Chinese language partners or tutors on compus if you like. Digas Posted August 30, 2007 at 04:01 PM Report Posted August 30, 2007 at 04:01 PM Hi, This is Diego, brazilian, living in Paris, arriving in Beijing next saturday. Check the site in this link: http://www.blcu.edu.cn/lzb/lx_back/english/index.htm There's prety much all the info you need. You'll need to send them a letter with the required documents in order to aply for a visa and a place at the university. It's easy and it takes about a month for the answer to arrive. About housing, I've booked a hotel in front of the BLCU and contacted some agencies in order to have apartments ready to be checked upon my arrival. I think it's the best option. Anyway, I can give you more info after I get there. Cheers! Quote

deezy Posted September 5, 2007 at 08:05 PM Report Posted September 5, 2007 at 08:05 PM If you do decide to enroll, I would advise sending your application in 3 months or more before your desired class starts. Why? There is a step-by-step process involved here: - It will take a few weeks for your app to get there. - It will take a few weeks or more for them to review it and send you back your acceptance package. - It might take another week for you to then get the appropriate visa using the documentation they send you. This may all easily take less than 3 months, but 3 months will allow you plenty of time to get everything done "by the book." It could maybe take just a month if you cut some corners, but you might get stuck stressing whether or not you really needed those corners or not until you get there. I rushed things and had to buy my airfare well in advance (on the assumption I'd be accepted) and get an L visa (but wasn't sure if I really needed an F or L visa). Fortunately, it all worked out...but I had no way to know until I actually got there. Quote

Marisa Posted September 22, 2007 at 08:46 AM Report Posted September 22, 2007 at 08:46 AM HI! Has noone got the same problem as me? how did you send your application fee? I can't find out how to send it. Ukraine does't seem to send money by T/T... i'm lost:cry: Quote
deezy Posted October 10, 2007 at 03:41 PM Report Posted October 10, 2007 at 03:41 PM ^ I dunno about the Ukraine, but in the US, a "T/T" is really just a wire transfer. If you ask for a T/T, they will have no idea what you're talking about. But what BLCU really means is a wire transfer. And, I'm assuming they have wire transfers in the Ukraine? Quote
