奥林匹克圣火 Who will light the Olympic flame ?

These are some people that I think might be lighting the Olympic flame in Beijing

Yao Ming, Liu Xiang, Wu Peng, Jet Li, Yang Wei, Chen Yanqing, Tao Luna, Luo Xuejuan, Chen Zhong, Xia Liu

Is there anyone I'm forgetting ?

Previous lighters of other Olympic games include Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay), Sohn Kee-chung, Antonio Rebollo, Sergei Belov

Well, I wouldn't know, but maybe Zhang Yimou? I know he is not very much athletic: at least that is what I have been led to believe as he is just a movie director.

Maybe Zhang Ziyi, though she is a woman, haha. Maybe a second choice. What about the president Hu Jintao?

Seriously though, isn't it usually a former athlete type?

Gao Min is a likely serious contender. She was China's first two-time diving gold medalist.

She is an "elder stateman" compared to the younger generation of diving gold medalists.

I would select a previous Olympic winner who has a "maternal" bearing.

I think Yao Ming is a good choice. Since he is really an athlete. Also, he is well know internationally as an athlete. And he has not have bad rumors, not that I heard of.

I think at least it should be lit on by an athlete with good sportsmanship, who doesn't have to be very famous, though. No politicians, and, no, NO Super Girls(and Super Boys)!

As for Zhang Yimou and Zhang Ziyi, I think the Olympics is not a movie festival, right?
