Myriad Posted September 2, 2007 at 06:38 AM Report Posted September 2, 2007 at 06:38 AM I am teaching ESL at the HUAS. I would like to know the good places to shop. I just got here and need some information. The biggest frustrration I have had is that everyone nods whether they understand what I am saying or not. Is there a phrase I can say to check their understanding? Sean Quote
littleknight23 Posted September 4, 2007 at 08:42 AM Report Posted September 4, 2007 at 08:42 AM you can say 你听懂了吗 ni3 ting1 dong3 le1 ma1 (which means "did you get what I am saying") then you say: 听懂了 ting1 dong3 le1 , 你就说YES ni3 jiu4 shuo1 YES (which means "say YES if you got what I am saying") 没听懂 mei2 ting1 dong3, 你就说NO ni3 jiu4 shuo1 NO (which means "say NO if you did not get what I am saying") but it's not a phrase, it's a lot of phrases Quote
