Living and studying in Tibet

This is a very specific question I'm sure but I was hoping someone could shed some light. I am currently in Lhasa and I love Tibet and want to stay and study Chinese here until Christmas.

I have been studying Chinese in China for a year now and I know that dialect etc is important and I've thought it all through but I've managed to find loads of people here that speak great Chinese or are indeed Chinese and I really want to stay.

I don't want to enroll in a university as I don't want to spend as much time studying reading and writing anymore as I only have 4 months left and really want to concentrate on speaking.

So my problem is, can I rent a flat here like I could elsewhere in China and also does anyone know how? Also anyone got any ideas of how I get hold of private tutors here.

I know this is very specific and strange but I'm not considering studying again elsewhere in China and surely it's better for my Chinese than packing it in altogether and heading for India.

Anyone got any hints or tips I'd really appreciate hearing from you.
