翳子, yi4ziwhich I think is suppose to be the like 白內障, or cataract, but maybe it just is a more general, strange obstruction in the eye...

I dunno where I saw this, but apparently I remembered it...and a google search also turned up this

端公 duan1gong1 which i guess is kinda like a 巫师 wu1shi1, but maybe more like a medicine man/shaman/exorcist... with some more info about the Qiang Minority here(羌族 Qiang1zu2 )

Edit: Does anyone know the actual pronunciation of this word? Perakun says jiǎ jiǎ zhě, my GF says she pronounces it as jiāo jiāo zhě, and naturally I think it should be jiǎo jiǎo zhě...

諳 - It's "ān" in Pinyin. I saw this word in a Chinese newspaper today. It means "be versed in; know well".

I found these two words printed together in a Chinese newspaper today.

鶼, jiān, = a legendary bird that mates for life, and always travels in pairs.

鲽 dié, is from 鮃鰈, píngdié, which, one of the meanings, is "flounder".
