Apparently it's an established expression, though: 《水浒传》第二六回：“你把我的哥哥性命，怎地谋害了，从实招了，我便饶你。”《红楼梦》第九四回：“还是 李紈 探春 从实的告诉了 王夫人 一遍。” 许地山 《凶手》第二幕：“你与我从实招来，若有一句谎言，难免受刑。” I know the individual meanings of 从实 (truthfully) and 招 (confess), so could guess the meaning of the phrase (if it weren't obvious from context anyway), but couldn't find a definition of the complete phrase in Zdic or Nciku. I finally found it in the TW MOE dictionary: 奉命做原原本本、詳實的陳述。初刻拍案驚奇˙卷二十六：「上天對我說道：『殺井家婦人杜氏的，是這個大覺。』快從實招來。」老殘遊記˙第十八回：「從實招來，是誰教你誣告的。」 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
