Poker in Beijing?

It's been over a year now and I finally find myself needing to scratch an old itch. Any poker games around? Anyone interested?

In Nanjing, we play every Tuesday at Jimmy's Pizza Restaurant.

I have heard in Suzhou they have games twice a week, also there is a Bar in Shanghai where they play, though like the other places players deal for themselves.

I haven't heard about BJ as I don't go there much. If you're around Nanjing give a call I'm sure we can find a seat at the table for you.

I'll play almost anything, although I prefer hold-em. I met a group last year that has weekly games but I lost track of them. They had a nice setup where they used the back room of a small restaurant.

is poker illegal in china? if you host a game in a bar or in a hotel mah jiang room, do you need to pay anyone off?

i'm just thinking about the "no drugs, no gambling, no yellow (prostitution)" videos they always play at the beginning of ktvs...
