They are products and all products have their own name and we can't "translate" them. Only the company can assign it a name and even then it's not a translation. ALL trademarks could be translated, and it's just a business decision, not a linguistic one. While "iPod" can't be written in Chinese character, "Mac" can be. Ask Steve Jobs why.
