主打

i watch 超級星光大道 and one of the words i hear often is 主打 sometimes used as "主打歌"

so i look it up in the dictionary, and the same old phrase pops up: 查無此字。great!

does anyone know what it means? thanks in advance

usually a singer publish a new CD, he or she will go to some TV programs or radio programs to propagandize his or her new songs, it's called "打歌". usually a CD has 10-12 songs, the singer cant sing (propagandize) every song in the TV /Radio programs, so, they (singer's company) will chose one of the best song, this song will be "主打歌"
