Mailing plane tkts to China

Someone is buying me a plane ticket in the US and wants to send it to me here priority mail.

Just wondered if there is any tax/duty for mailing that kind of thing into China?. It seems like a silly question, but time is of the essence and I don't want anything to get held up in Chinese customs since I've had issues with China Post before. Thanks!!!

Why don't you get them to buy you an electronic ticket? That way you don't need to send anything and you avoid the risk of losing it in the mail.

That's a good idea - I forgot abt that possibility because it wasn't available last year when I was in S. America, so I assumed they didn't have it in Kunming either - then again, Chinese cities are possibly even more technologically advanced than my hometown in the States.
