"无苦不 获取 / 成功" is my version and I found a four-character chengyu-like phrase that could be a another version : "先苦後甜". Is there a correct 成语 that says the same thing?

Found this site by googling "chengyu 苦".

Will need some time to browse through the "search.asp" for "苦"; nice presentation.

Woud've been nice to get another set of chengyus by just clicking on a character, though.

无苦不成功 means: No success without hard working

先苦后甜 means: if you work hard at the begining then later you will enjoy

苦尽甘来 means: when bitter/hard times ended then happyness come to you

水滴石穿 shuǐ dī shí chuān, the erosion of the rock starts with one drop of water (my personal translation...correct me if I'm wrong, please! thanks!), suggests a lifelong pursuit, or team work.

铁杵成针 tiě chǔ chéng zhēn, to shape a needle out of a chunk of iron (idem), suggests patience, endurance and dexterity. This one I heard in a film but can't remember which one.

謝謝你 Littleweed :).
