Has anyone seen this film?

I saw it last weekend. I think it is generally quite enjoyable but strangely I don't think I know what the film is about. There are 4 parts in the film which is basically made up of two related stories. In 1958, and in 1976, people could still have fun in China. But there were so many uncontrollable things and usually things did not turn out to be what people wanted. And then people went on living, and the Sun kept rising everyday. I guess this is what the film is about. But I don't feel it. It is not moving. I think people who were in China during those times would be able to understand the film better.

I like Jaycee Chan (房祖名, Jacky Chan's son) a lot. I think he has a lot of potential. Anthony Wong is also in the film, and I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me what happens to him in the film.

I don't like the part when the new mother (Chan's mother in the film) keeps shouting at the rising sun, as somehow it appears to be a copy of Japanese film "Love Letter".

唐老师的妻子，被疯狂妈妈的儿子给偷了人。他们俩人在气喘吁吁的做爱之时，唐妻对男孩儿说：唐老师说我的肚子就象天鹅绒……任何曾经亲手抚摸过天鹅绒的人，都可以回忆一下摸它的感觉：顺茬摸，它极其舒服受用，如果戗着茬摸一摸再试试看？它扎手、它逆反。

姜文用猎枪直逼着偷了他女人的男人，要把他当场打死；但偷他女人的男人，却始终有一个疑问：我怎么没感觉你女人肚皮像天鹅绒？

姜文回北京找天鹅绒去了；但随后却被好朋友狠狠教训了一顿：你的女人被偷不怪别人，就怪你自己。

偷人的孩子真的找来了天鹅绒，他对姜文怒吼道：天鹅绒就是一块布！

对同样一个女人的不同感情，就这样非常隐喻又极其准确地被电影化表达出来了。

起身要离开放映室时，我随口向身边一位80后女性观众问了一句：对这电影感觉如何；她一声赞叹之后立即答道：“人疯了、人死了、人被偷了；但天下没有任何过不去的事情！”我笑一笑接上：“所以太阳照常升起！”——这两句话，恰恰就是观看《太阳》的钥匙！

Yeah I am familiar with the baidu and google search engines. I have also read other people's explanations / elaborations. I have no difficulties in understanding the plot of the story. That doesn't mean I know what the film is about, though.
