Pravit Posted October 23, 2007 at 06:32 PM Report Posted October 23, 2007 at 06:32 PM There's a certain 80s-ish saxophone song that plays EVERY TIME a train, ship, or plane is about to reach its destination. It's also used quite often when stores or malls are closing. I can even hum the tune, but I don't know what it's called - does anyone else know what I'm talking about? What is it called? Quote
889 Posted October 23, 2007 at 09:10 PM Report Posted October 23, 2007 at 09:10 PM It's Kenny G's Jasmine (茉莉花). http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/m4S0NUEvIa8/ I hope he collects royalties. Quote
Pravit Posted October 23, 2007 at 11:35 PM Author Report Posted October 23, 2007 at 11:35 PM That's definitely one of the jazz songs they play on trains! But I'm so sure there's another one - it sounds exactly like something that would play at the end of an 80s TV show. Quote
889 Posted October 24, 2007 at 12:12 AM Report Posted October 24, 2007 at 12:12 AM Well, then, perhaps it was Kenny G's Silhouette. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3arpl7QEdDc Or maybe Forevever In Love by, yes, Kenny G. http://www.lalaq.com/view/108525.html I hope he collects royalties on these, too. Honestly, there are times when travelling around China seems like one long Kenny G album (or, if you take the bus, an Andy Lau film festival). Quote
zhwj Posted October 24, 2007 at 02:35 AM Report Posted October 24, 2007 at 02:35 AM Appropriately enough, it's called "Going Home"! You can listen to it here. There's probably a video on Youtube. Quote
889 Posted October 24, 2007 at 03:30 AM Report Posted October 24, 2007 at 03:30 AM Overdose on Kenny G and it all starts to sound the same. Here's a direct link to Going Home. Quote
