It kind of reminds me of how a young child would say to their parent you were young???? Ah! Here are the missing words in the sentence! I thought it looked weird.

天下從此多事矣

I was looking for a proper word for事, and I was brain dead at the time. Studentyoung, you nailed it. And you are right about 学者 in the context means the students. Great job!

It's important to keep in mind that this is wenyan, not modern Mandarin. So 學者 is not the Mandarin for scholars, but 'study persons', they who study => students.

And as studentyoung said, 天下 is 'all under heaven' => the whole world. (In some contexts it means China, as that was basically the whole (civilized) world to the Chinese. The emperors ruled over 天下.)
