zhwj Posted November 11, 2007 at 08:05 AM Report Posted November 11, 2007 at 08:05 AM Just got a visit yesterday from a census-taker with the 北京市房屋普查工作领导小组办公室. Evidently, between October and December this year, the city is surveying 250,000 randomly-selected households, and my number got pulled (I'm taking this info from the booklet I received). The process took about ten minutes. I was asked questions about my apartment (size, rent, etc.), my income and education levels, and what my plans were for housing in the next five years. I was a bit surprised that they needed my name and phone number, but the woman said that I might get a call from someone checking up on her work (to make sure she actually visited the houses instead of filling out the forms herself, I guess). And I got a free gift - a fluffy green bath towel! Anyone else have this experience? Quote
