Beijing internation airport wireless???

Does anyone know if you can log on at the airport... I know that Dubai has wireless zones that you can log onto with no problem, but I am not sure about Beijing... cheers

There is free wireless in the first class lounge (or whatever they call it). So if you're flying business class or are a gold member of one of the participating airlines, then you're in look. Otherwise, you could try hanging out right outside, you may still be able to pick up a signal.

As for the rest of the airport, there is wireless but it's not free. If I recall correctly, it's administered by China Mobile.

Don't think I've ever managed to get online at Beijing, but you could try hanging out outside the lounges - worked for me in Shanghai.

There's a starbucks at Beijing Airport, they should have wireless there. Don't know if they'll still be open at 1am in the morning though.

Dunno if Starbucks is free. and it'll probably be shut at 1am.

If you can sit outside the business class lounge with your laptop you should be able to find a signal though. I can't remember if I needed a password to connect (I was actually *in* the lounge at the time rather than loitering outside looking shifty) but I don't think so.

There's definitely free wireless in the departure lounges somewhere. I got held up there for 4 hours back in November and spent most of the time surfing the net on my HTC Touch. I wondered around and tried the wireless connection at a few points - some of them were password protected, some were open. Sorry, can't remember the gate number the strongest signal was at - you'll need to wonder round til you can find an open signal.

Just confirming that yes, you can get free wireless by hanging outside the business lounge at beijing airport which is good, because I've still got an hour before my flight.
