Does anyone know where that phrase comes from? I've encountered it twice- once on a Chinese SAT study booklet, and again in an economics textbook, both times in Traditional Chinese.

I know that it means "Peace, Improvement, Welcoming the New World" (something along the lines of that), but I'm not sure as to where it actually came from.

Thanks

If I remember correctly this is one of the motto's for the Olympics..... but maybe it was taken from somewhere else. Kind of sounds like something from the UN.
