roddy Posted May 8, 2004 at 04:59 PM Report Posted May 8, 2004 at 04:59 PM Here's my current 'favourite' (ie I find it quite irritating, but can't help humming along when I accidentally hear it in shops and on the radio). (see link below) Roddy Quote
sunyata Posted May 9, 2004 at 12:21 AM Report Posted May 9, 2004 at 12:21 AM that link doesn't work for me... but this one does: S.H.E. - Super Star Quote
roddy Posted May 9, 2004 at 01:55 AM Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 at 01:55 AM I was obviously too busy singing along to get the link right Roddy Quote

Lu Posted May 9, 2004 at 12:03 PM Report Posted May 9, 2004 at 12:03 PM The melody sounds very familiar, I think it's from another Chinese song, but I can't think of which... Edit: I remember, the chorus sounds like that of the song 朋友, I don't know by who. Quote
chengdude Posted May 9, 2004 at 01:29 PM Report Posted May 9, 2004 at 01:29 PM Down here in Sichuan, this song is currently No. 1, 2, or 3 on the "Come into my shop because my music's the loudest" hit list. The video for the song is even better: the guitarist looks like he's trying out for a spot in a heavy metal band...incongruity defined. Quote
skylee Posted May 9, 2004 at 02:36 PM Report Posted May 9, 2004 at 02:36 PM Looks like SHE is really hot. It seems that whenever I switch to 東風衛視 or 華娛衛視, they are always airing a drama series featuring this group. Quote
Quest Posted May 9, 2004 at 10:30 PM Report Posted May 9, 2004 at 10:30 PM Is it 《蔷薇之恋》? I've seen the first 5 episodes, then I stopped. 太乱伦,乱七八糟的亲兄妹恋,变态的母亲,亲弟弟喜欢和偷吻亲哥哥 etc. Quote
hparade Posted May 15, 2004 at 12:15 PM Report Posted May 15, 2004 at 12:15 PM sometimes cheesy pops just *may* become addictive, but some just plain annoying, it depends, and some pops are good anyway, but not this SH.... IMO. Quote
39degN Posted May 18, 2004 at 10:42 AM Report Posted May 18, 2004 at 10:42 AM and this one: proud of you i found they couldnt pronounce the letter "L" "i can fry(fly) i m proud that i can fry(fly)" is this a common problem for taiwanese speakers? also, when i watch the documentary "世紀宋美齡"(DVD, Mei-ling soong--china's most powerful first lady), i found that they say "和" as "han4", interesting. That drama 《当四叶草碰上剑尖时》is from hongkong, not taiwan. I dont hear any problem with the "I can fly", though there's some cantonese accent in the song. This one isn't by Joey is it? Quote
39degN Posted May 19, 2004 at 03:22 PM Report Posted May 19, 2004 at 03:22 PM man! the singers (S.H.E) are from taiwan! or maybe my listening skill has some problems, but seems i have no problem to listen to native speaker's teaching. though i always speak chinglish(没办法,中文功底太深厚了, ! ) Quote
