LaoZhang Posted December 21, 2007 at 07:12 AM Report Share Posted December 21, 2007 at 07:12 AM Has anyone tried using mobile QQ on their cellphone from the US? I'm using T-Mobile with the $5.00 GPRS data plan in CA and haven't had any success. Chinese Yahoo messenger works without any problems. Thanks! 老张 - LaoZhang

LaoZhang Posted December 25, 2007 at 09:15 AM Author Report Share Posted December 25, 2007 at 09:15 AM Apparently it's not as easy to use QQ on your phone in China NOW. I asked my friend how he got it and said that you had to have signed up for it a long time ago and that I can't do it now. Apparently it was a service offered by CM (and included unlimited GPRS access for 15 元/月!). He's grandfathered in. I have used Yahoo Chat (.cn) with no problems through a browser on an M-Zone card. Haven't tried MSN. No configuration was necessary (tried on 2 phones). Just open the browser and go. I still have no idea how much it costs per kb. Not much tho.
