moondragon Posted December 22, 2007 at 07:21 AM Report Posted December 22, 2007 at 07:21 AM Hey everyone, Coming to Beijing for the first time and will be there over New Years. Are there any big events I could check out? I was thinking of just doing my first Beijing Pub Crawl if I can't find anything else happening Cheers, Micheal Quote
Flagg Posted December 24, 2007 at 06:02 AM Report Posted December 24, 2007 at 06:02 AM I'm in the same boat. I'm coming over on Friday from Seoul with about 12 friends and I don't really know what we'll do. I like to party, so I would like to find an area with a few bars and clubs. From what I've read, it would seem that the "Sunlitan" area would be my best bet. Is this true? Any advice? Quote
cdn_in_bj Posted December 24, 2007 at 06:57 AM Report Posted December 24, 2007 at 06:57 AM I personally have never really liked the bars on Sanlitun. I actually did spent one New Years at a small bar in Sanlitun. It didn't really feel like New Years. There are a few places in the newer Nanjie area which look interesting. But with a group of 12, I think you'll have a good time regardless of where you end up going. Quote
ck64192 Posted December 24, 2007 at 06:13 PM Report Posted December 24, 2007 at 06:13 PM I came from Beijing. I strongly suggest you to go to bars on Houhai. it is better than Sanlitun. Quote
Flagg Posted December 25, 2007 at 06:52 AM Report Posted December 25, 2007 at 06:52 AM Thanks. I'll be sure to check it out. Quote
