Help with actually finding application forms

Ok,

So I want to apply to Bei Da and BeiShiDa to start sept 08, but can not find an actual application form....

I don't know if I'm completely blind.....

Is it just that the application for sept 08 isn't up yet because it's too early. I also want to know about deadlines but just find the sites infuriating....

would appreciate any helpful hints,

The BNU ones for the second semester 2008 aren't up yet. You need to start the BNU application process online, so there's no point in trying to beat the system with old application forms.

and now my sister wants to come for summer - so remwar, you are in luck. not that you aren't special, but the reason im hauling my ass over there is 60% because of her, 1% because of you, and 39% for myself.

1. i passed! starting 101 on monday!

2. not sure if i have to register, but the office person told me that i dont - that i can register when i stop by to pick up my stipend, a week after classes start. if it turns out that she was wrong and my name isnt on the class lists that get put up on sunday, ill just go to the office on monday and make sure i get put into a 101 class.

3. summer courses - i dont know what is going on with this, but both offices said no information will be available until april or may. people at the office (on the 9th floor - not the one in the library) even went as far as telling me that this year, they might not even have summer courses.. (!!!) i find that very hard to believe as there are US university joint programs with websites that already have information up on their bnu summer 2008 program procedures.

BNU's summer classes are, I think, stand alone things for people who just want to learn how to say "knee how" while seeing a bit of Beijing. They will try to teach you more than this, but are usually slowed down by the fake-learner-really-a-tourist students. So, you've already done 100 hence I think the summer class won't be for you.

I could be totally wrong in that it may have changed in the last year or two.

I loved 101 by the way.

so i got to talk to another office lady. this lady knows her stuff - shes also in charge of all the scholarship students. i like her.

anyway, she told me summer programs are only available to groups. usually these groups are programs sent from universities that have relationships with bnu in the states. and individuals cant register/apply for these summer classes. =[

this also meant that in the summer, the scholarship doesnt offer us any classes. we're on our own. they just treat it like a long break.
