Just the other day I found myself humming 加價熱潮, a song which was popular like 30 years ago, when I was thinking about the recent price increases of electricity/pork etc.

yeah, cultural references, a must.

but...this song and this singer...and Cantonese? not my cup of tea. But if you want good songs for learning Cantonese I'd recommend Sandy Lam (林憶蓮). She also sings in Mandarin : 林憶蓮 - 夜太黑
