skylee Posted January 5, 2008 at 06:41 AM Report Posted January 5, 2008 at 06:41 AM The film is directed by HK directer Wong Kar Wai. The main actors include Norah Jones, Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, Natalie Portman. I saw it today and I think it is very likeable. A nice surprise is the appearance of the theme music of "In the mood for love" (I like that scene). But many people seem to think that the story is similar to "Chungking Express", which I don't like much. Some of Wong's films are too difficult for me. "My Blueberry Nights" is simple and easy and a beautiful time killer. Has anyone else seen it? Quote
cdn_in_bj Posted January 5, 2008 at 09:46 AM Report Posted January 5, 2008 at 09:46 AM I noticed the posters for this movie last month and I definitely want to see this when I get back. Norah is a cutie and the other 2 aren't too bad either. Quote

gato Posted January 5, 2008 at 01:34 PM Report Posted January 5, 2008 at 01:34 PM In that case, maybe you'd like the poster this way. Quote
skylee Posted January 5, 2008 at 01:45 PM Author Report Posted January 5, 2008 at 01:45 PM Actually what we see on screen is something like the one in #1 turned 90 degrees anticlockwise. The nice surprise in the film -> Yumeji's Theme (Harmonica Version) [click to listen, wherever you are] Quote
Shannel Posted January 8, 2008 at 05:52 AM Report Posted January 8, 2008 at 05:52 AM i've seen it...hoho, i like Norah Jones' music.......the plot, well, just the routine of Wong's. Quote
skylee Posted January 8, 2008 at 01:29 PM Author Report Posted January 8, 2008 at 01:29 PM Someone I know asked me who the girl on the poster was, saying that she was soooooo beautiful, not knowing that it was Norah Jones. Luckily the story is so routine, otherwise I wouldn't understand it. Quote
gougou Posted January 16, 2008 at 03:06 PM Report Posted January 16, 2008 at 03:06 PM "My Blueberry Nights" is simple and easy and a beautiful time killer.Completely agree. It's a far cry from In the Mood for Love (but then again which movie isn't?), but enjoyable to watch. The story is simple enough, but not annoyingly so, and beautifully filmed - I like the way Wong focuses on colors and lets shapes recede (although he did overdo the blurs a bit, I think.)And yes, Norah Jones does look good Quote
