Rowley Posted January 17, 2008 at 07:10 AM Report Posted January 17, 2008 at 07:10 AM Hi, I'd like a Chinese - English, or Chinese, dictionary in word or .txt format that I could download from the internet. I would then use word to put pinyin above the words and then print it out and use it as a normal paper dictionary. I am reading Chinese texts (with pinyin) everyday for several hours, and it would be very nice indeed if I could also read the Chinese definitions more easily. Thank you very much for any help you can give me! Quote
gougou Posted January 17, 2008 at 07:26 AM Report Posted January 17, 2008 at 07:26 AM This might be far-fetched, but have you thought about just getting a paper dictionary with pinyin? Quote
Rowley Posted January 17, 2008 at 09:15 AM Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 at 09:15 AM I have! But I can't find any! Do you know of any you can recommend? Quote

Rowley Posted January 17, 2008 at 10:57 AM Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 at 10:57 AM I am in a town in China. And I have only found one dictionary that has pinyin for every character that you see, and that one is small, not clear and English - Chinese, so of no use to me. So, I am looking for a dictionary I can download and put the pinyin above the words myself. Quote
