Alejandro69 Posted January 22, 2008 at 03:52 PM Report Posted January 22, 2008 at 03:52 PM Hi, Would anyone help me and tell me what exactly in the CSC chinese government scholarship application form is? Transcripts of the Most Advanced Studies (Notarized Photocopy) 本人最后学历成绩单复印件(须公证) is this an english translation of my university certificate? or an english translation of the subjects I studied in the University? or an english translation the studies I did during my life? I am kind of confuse :-( . Please explain ---------- Please Specify the Organization or Person Recommending you for this Scholarship: 推荐您申请中国政府奖学金的机构或个人 This recommendation must be a Chinese Organization or an organization of my country?. Can I leave in blank this point? or not -------------- Besides the information required, what other extra information would you recommend me to attach? ------ Thank you so much for your help.
bottledpoetry Posted January 22, 2008 at 06:39 PM Report Posted January 22, 2008 at 06:39 PM do a search on this site for CSC scholarships and look through the posts. There have been a lot of posts inquiring about CSC and you will most likely find your answers there. Here's an active one that's helped me out: http://www.chinese-forums.com/index.php?/topic/13983-csc-scholarship-archives and the apps, http://www.csc.edu.cn/en/chan/chan.a...pid=65&level=2 glad to know I'm not crazy for being unable to find them too
Alejandro69 Posted January 22, 2008 at 09:00 PM Author Report Posted January 22, 2008 at 09:00 PM thank you for your reply. I found 2 answers to my 3 questions in your links attached. But I can't still find an answer to my first question: Transcripts of the Most Advanced Studies (Notarized Photocopy) 本人最后学历成绩单复印件(须公证) What is this? again, appreciate your help.
BrandeX Posted January 23, 2008 at 12:42 AM Report Posted January 23, 2008 at 12:42 AM They are asking for "transcripts". This is obtained from your school and lists every class you have taken along with grades received. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcript_(education)

Chrissy88 Posted February 22, 2008 at 10:33 PM Report Posted February 22, 2008 at 10:33 PM In regards to sending notarized transcripts with the application that are being requested--my university will only mail transcripts directly to the institution or organization that is requesting them. So, I am confused when the scholarship application says to "attach notarized transcripts"---because the US university will only provide me with, technically, "unofficial" transcripts...that yes, I can always "notarize" and attach---but that I've never heard of that being acceptable? With that said, when they request copies of my transcripts from my university...shall tell my I sent them directly to the CSC? or to the Chinese Embassy? Is there a specific address?
extrapages Posted February 24, 2008 at 07:20 AM Report Posted February 24, 2008 at 07:20 AM can everyone please start using the other CSC thread for all future questions?
