Blutch Posted January 23, 2008 at 05:12 AM Report Posted January 23, 2008 at 05:12 AM Hello everyone, I am currently living in Beijing and have been studying Chinese for the last couple years. It is now at a level where I am satisfied with it and reached the goals I had fixed myself when I started, and I would like to start studying another language - Japanese, or, what would be my first choice, Korean -, as I am just as interested in those countries as I am in China. I know the best solution would actually to "go to Korea" to study. Unfortunately, for personal reasons, I am "stuck" here in Beijing for the next year. I would also like to make my studies more intensive than a couple tutoring sessions a week, which is still the option I will resort to if my question is without answers! So, the question is, is there any school in Beijing, that accepts foreigners as students, that teaches Korean, or Japanese? If such a school exists, I would really appreciate the contact information. I am kind of expecting that there really isn't that kind of school here, but I thought it was worth a try to ask some people who maybe have a more extended knowledge of the school network here in Beijing. Thanks a lot for your time, and hopefully future answers! Blutch Quote
jeffofarabia Posted January 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM Report Posted January 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM I used to live near Bei Da and Beijing Language and Culture University and there are a ton of Koreans near there. Maybe put up a sign at the Korean grocery store near BLCU for lessons. I am sure someone will respond. Good luck. Jeff Quote
Flagg Posted January 24, 2008 at 12:25 PM Report Posted January 24, 2008 at 12:25 PM A great online resource for learning Korean is http://korean.sogang.ac.kr/ Provided you can find some Koreans to practice with, it should be a great help to you. 열심히 공부하세요! Quote
