Accomodation for TLI Wangfujing

I am looking at the possibility of going to TLI Wangfujing (is that Dongcheng?).

One question I have is the accomodation. I have searched the forum, but there seems to be no postings regarding that.

For those who went there, where did you stay? How much does it cost and when were you there (the price may increase over time)?

you are right, the Wangfujing is located in DongCheng district in beijing.

but what is "TLI"?

i am chinese and living in beijing for 5 years. i am grad to help.

for the accomodation, seems is depending on your choice.

As i know, lots of people choose the Youth Hostel China.it is about 80--120RMB (equal to 10--15 $USD) a day.

TLI is Taiwan Language Institute, which has branches in Beijing, Dalian, etc.

I'll look into that youth hostel, the price is certainly reasonable. Does one have to be a "youth" to stay there? I am definitely not a youth anymore (alas)

What's your price range and how long are you going to study at TLI?

For a month or two, your best bet would be a nearby hostel. I actually stayed in that hostel junecai mentioned for a few days before coming back home to the states in December. It was pretty decent, no frills.

My price range is probably not more than US$30/day and it will be for a month. I will have my son (6 years old by then) with me, can he stay in the hostel, too?
