Contemporary Chinese Wordplay Poet?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I don't know much about contemporary Chinese literature, but I need the answer to a question for a certain project of mine.

I'm looking for a Chinese poet who does humorous poems like Tanikawa Shuntarou (Japanese) or Christian Morgenstern (German), i.e. does a lot of word games. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks

I thought we had new year, not April Fool's Day.

Happy New Year to everyone, and maybe anyone else knows of an poet I'm looking for?

Che Qianzi 車前子. Don't know if he does exactly the kind of word games you're looking for, and he also has a lot of non-wordplay poetry, but also some really fun & interesting poems.

And maybe Xu Bing, who plays with characters and words, although it's not really poetry, more like painting.
