nortels Posted February 6, 2008 at 11:27 AM Report Posted February 6, 2008 at 11:27 AM Hello! I don't know much about contemporary Chinese literature, but I need the answer to a question for a certain project of mine. I'm looking for a Chinese poet who does humorous poems like Tanikawa Shuntarou (Japanese) or Christian Morgenstern (German), i.e. does a lot of word games. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks Nortels Quote

nortels Posted February 8, 2008 at 01:48 AM Author Report Posted February 8, 2008 at 01:48 AM I thought we had new year, not April Fool's Day. Happy New Year to everyone, and maybe anyone else knows of an poet I'm looking for? Quote
Lu Posted February 12, 2008 at 03:39 PM Report Posted February 12, 2008 at 03:39 PM Che Qianzi 車前子. Don't know if he does exactly the kind of word games you're looking for, and he also has a lot of non-wordplay poetry, but also some really fun & interesting poems. And maybe Xu Bing, who plays with characters and words, although it's not really poetry, more like painting. Quote
