mkengel Posted February 11, 2008 at 03:53 AM Report Posted February 11, 2008 at 03:53 AM Hello. Does anybody have a copy of Zhonghua da zidian which dates before 1938 ? Zhonghua da zidian (中華大字典, "Comprehensive Chinese character dictionary"). 1915. 4 vols. Shanghai: Zhonghua. (Repr. 1981. 2 vols. Beijing: Zhonghua.) If yes, could you send me a scan of titlepages and the pages where the names of editors/authors and publisher and copyright information are located ? Does this publisher still exists ? Shanghai: Zhonghua Thankyou for any help. Michael Engel mkengel@gmail.com p.s. If someone wants to get rid of his/her copy, I might be interested in obtaining it. Quote

trevelyan Posted February 11, 2008 at 08:38 PM Report Posted February 11, 2008 at 08:38 PM OCR is going to be a big pain. There are digital copies of the Kangxi dictionary around if you're looking for a useful source for a digitization project. Quote
