George--- Posted February 15, 2008 at 08:48 PM Report Posted February 15, 2008 at 08:48 PM Hi. Helpful forum you've got here. I'm planning to send my 17 year old kid to BLCU this fall for the September 2008 to January 2009 program. Would anybody know the cost of the program? The BLCU form says Sept.08—Nov.28, 2008 (20hrs/week, 12 weeks) RMB8300 However, the website CSA (Center for Study Abroad) says September 8th, 2008 - January 16th, 2009 $2995 Can anyone enlighten me on this regard? Also, it would be helpful if any can inform me the prices of the dorms on-campus. (Dorm 6,7,.. etc.,. and the Campus Centers). Quote
roddy Posted February 15, 2008 at 11:48 PM Report Posted February 15, 2008 at 11:48 PM The cost of the program will be what's on the BLCU form, but that won't cover accomodation. The CSA (whoever they are) are most likely some kind of agency set up that will handle the application, pay your fees for you and at that price presumably cover accommodation, airport pick-up, general assistance, etc. Normally people will recommend applying to BLCU directly as it works out a lot cheaper, but if you have any issues with your son's skills at organization and handling any issues that may crop up - and as he's seventeen you probably do - an agency solution may be preferable. adrianlondon Posted February 17, 2008 at 08:13 AM Report Posted February 17, 2008 at 08:13 AM http://beijing.craigslist.com.cn/ ;) There's also http://www.thebeijinger.com/ which was called "That's BJ" but probably hit search engines for all the wrong reasons. Quote
