KONDDE Posted February 24, 2008 at 10:32 PM Report Posted February 24, 2008 at 10:32 PM Hi there, I would like to share something that someone probably know but for the beginner level like me I think it is very important to know, 1) A very interesting site about a guy who made himself fluently in Japanese, it is VERY interesting stop by to chek this out, http://www.alljapaneseallthetime.com/blog/about/overview-page 2)Inside this site I found something not less interesting, ii is about a Korean who released a book, someone had translated the principal scop of this book, here it goes: http://www.ba.tyg.jp/~welchr/Chung.html Now, some questions that a have: 1) The book called Remembering the Hanzi(The same Remembering the Kanji author) apears to be releasedd very soon, but someone knows if a book with this caracteristics is avaiable already? 2) Trying to do what Mr. Chung teachs in his book, I looking for few texts in chinese, without translation and has a very basic level inside, how childrens primaly lessons. Someone knows how about to download this kind of audio basic texts. I need ones without tranlations of english voices insides like pimsleur or whatelse, Best regards! Quote

I need ones without tranlations of english voices insides like pimsleur or whatelse, This could be difficult. you could try getting your hands on some children's shows in Chinese, or very simple TV shows and try that. I found that reading cartoons is a great thing because they combine simple language with visual cues so you can figure lots of things out from the context. Maybe some (TV) cartoons or anime dubbed into Chinese could help you? Most podcasts at that level will feature lots of English. The problem with the "children-style" immersion is that you need massive amounts of material, which mustn't be too difficult. It's not easy to find such material. Quote
