roddy Posted December 24, 2008 at 02:14 AM Report Posted December 24, 2008 at 02:14 AM imron, what I think sirenbear is asking (and I'm wondering this too), is that pretty much EVERY OTHER forum I frequent has a way to automatically quote a particular message as a way of starting a new reply. I don't see that here. Read the first page of this topic and the linked discussion - I'm not completely opposed to putting it back. Just 85% opposed. For how to use quote / link / etc tags, see here Quote
jbradfor Posted December 24, 2008 at 02:57 AM Report Posted December 24, 2008 at 02:57 AM The logic here is that it's pointless to quote the previous post. Why not just respond to it? Because sometimes you aren't responding to the previous post, you are responding to one several back. And even when it's the previous post, I like the quote because it makes it clear that the post is a direct reply to a particular post, rather than a more general comment. But at least now I know I'm not missing something obvious! Quote
