Games to learn Chinese

Are there any games out there to learn characters? Games with points and where you have to match the correct 汉子 with the correct definition or word? Are there such things out there?

Can't think of any.

There are pictures cards, sold in book stores, with the names both in character and Pinyin on the backs. You pick one up by random, name it and turn back to check. But I think it hardly makes a game.

I guess the strictest rule one can apply to 接龍 is that the last word of the previous one and the first one of the next one has to be identical.

But perhaps it is not what the op looks for.

Only, I'd rather be against the computer as considering my level of Chinese, I would be trounced by other members.

Start with the tutorial. The tutorial game doesn't have characters in it, but when you play the real thing, you are given the option to load up the hanzi instead. Try out the 'animals' category once you've gone through the tutorial. Then create customized games by adding your own cards.
