tibet forest fires

I never thought Tibet had much in the way of forest until the recent news about these fires. I'm ashamed at how wrong I was.

It's a shame it is under threat. However, it is a nice surprise that it is there!

By what I read, it used to be substantially more before 某国 took over control.

I'm not entirely sure deforestation is a purely Chinese activity, Gougou

Obviously not, but I have read a book that talked about the environmental changes in Tibet, most notably due to lumber being transported into China. While they were certainly pro-Tibet, they provided some statistics about forest size before/after, so I would imagine that there's some basis for their accusations.
