雪糕 olivia Posted March 15, 2008 at 06:05 PM Report Posted March 15, 2008 at 06:05 PM Hi, I am new to the forum. Let me explain a bit about myself. I was born in Hong Kong, but moved to Canada when I was only 1, where we stayed for 2 years. I came to England when I was 3, so my grasp of Cantonese is nowhere near fluent and my reading/writing skills are quite poor. In a few months' time, I will be taking reading, listening and writing exams for my Chinese GCSE. As part of my revision, I have a lot of vocabulary tables to learn and I am not only fiding it difficult to remember how to pronounce some of the characters, but also how to write them, and was wondering if anyone has any techniques for memorizing difficult characters. Also, by reading and hopefully contributing to this forum, I am hoping to improve my acquisition of the language and someday, become fluent in it, which I think would be quite useful. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Kind regards, Olivia Quote
