@mrmwill100: I too get the error package not found with your package number. Perhaps you can contact the sender to get them to check the number again. They should have a receipt... perhaps you can ask for a scan or photo?

Hi,

I have now filed a case with eBay with reference to the parcel I am expecting. It has been over 5 weeks and the seller insists that it was sent via airmail. They keep expecting me to wait, possibly until my chance to file a case has expired and they get to keep my money. Would it be possible for someone to re- track the parcel RA516075040CN please, just in case things have changed since last week? They gave me a website to use but nothing happens, it just 'thinks' for ages. All help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

According to http://sao.cn, you package RA649911587CN was posted on 16/10, there is no further tracking information yet. Package RA171424306CN was not found.

Please note, the official China post website http://intmail.183.com.cn is not working right now, possibly sao.cn is affected too. (I mean, perhaps there are further details in the system about your packages, but those details can't be retrieved right now due to bugs.)

Regarding the package number, please see the S10 universal postal union standard. It looks like you package was posted as a registered but non-insured "letter" (however, small packages may be accepted as "letters", so that's not necessarily bad.)

Regarding delays for Europe, previous posters have indicated figures such as 2 weeks for airmail, 6 to 9 weeks or more for surface mail.

Sorry guys, this past week every time I've tried http://intmail.183.com.cn it was out of order (sometimes completely unreachable, sometimes it just gives the old "Error 500" or "Cannot get request dispatcher for path success"). I don't know what impact that has on http://sao.cn .

Anyway, I don't have more information than what's on those two websites, so I invite you to (try to) use them.

"Departure from outward office of exchange" is the last step before the package leaves the country.

Basically your package went through customs and was put into a big sack of packages waiting for the next plane or ship.

They won't open the big sack until it has reached the airport or seaport in the country of destination.

So the package will not be scanned again for some time. (up to 8 weeks for surface/ship mail).

After the package has reached the destination country, it should be scanned and you should be able to track it in the website of the destination country's Post Office. (the Chinese websites should also show the information.)

Finally got the website to work (first time in 5 weeks) and the status of RA516075040CN is the same.

Based on the explanation of the different status in this post, I am now curious why my parcel is looping through the Shenzhen transit office for more than 15 days (出口总包互封开拆 and 出口总包互封封发).

Any idea what is happening here? Hell, it almost sounds like it got stuck in the truck that loads/unload the packages. Thanks in advance.
